Our organization operates in an environment marked by instability, urgency and the unexpected. And yet, week after week, something is moving forward. A department restarts. A solution emerges. A team reinvents itself.
At Belladère, our teams absorbed a massive influx of patients without ever interrupting care. At Cange, oncology treatments resumed, despite logistical obstacles. At Saint-Marc, resources were redistributed to ensure both resident accommodation and continued medical training. In Boucan Carré, a single doctor provided consultations for more than 80 patients in the midst of the epidemic.
Everywhere, women and men chose to act, without waiting for ideal conditions, without allowing themselves to be paralyzed by difficulties. It’s not just resilience that keeps us going. It’s our ability to move forward with the means available, to preserve the essentials, to pass on our knowledge, to care, to stay on our feet.
Today, the oncology department is up and running. The Hinche and Saint-Marc residences are ready to welcome. Attendance is up in several establishments, tangible proof that the population continues to have confidence in us.
Our structures are standing firm, not because the situation is favorable, but because our commitment is stronger than adversity.
I am aware that there are still many challenges, that not everything has been resolved. But in this period of permanent uncertainty, I see an even greater strength emerging: an organization that refuses to stand still. A mission that evolves without ever losing its direction. Teams that move forward, often in the shadows, but always with dignity, courage and determination.
As long as this energy remains, hope is alive. And our mission continues.
