Zanmi Lasante informs the public that a worrying situation concerning Dr. Gerson Benoit, Chief Physician of the Oncology Department at Hôpital Bon Sauveur de Cange, is currently being closely monitored by the Organization.
As soon as the Organization became aware of this, the appropriate internal mechanisms were activated, in coordination with the competent authorities and authorized institutional partners, in strict compliance with the legal and ethical framework.
Zanmi Lasante is acting with rigor and discretion in order to contribute to the clarification of the situation and the protection of Dr. Benoit. Out of respect for those concerned and given the context, the Organization will make no further comment at this stage.
